This week: Recap of Dayton Hamvention

It's time for Amateur Radio Roundtable, a live weekly ham radio webcast and simulcasted shortwave program every Tuesday night at 8 PM CDT (0100 UTC Wednesday). The show can viewed at W5KUB.com or heard on shortwave radio station, WTWW on 5085 KHz. Ted Randall, WB8PUM, from QSO Radio Show will join Tom Medlin, W5KUB, as a co-host.

The show covers a wide range of topics for ham radio operators, electronic hobbyists, and shortwave listeners; including balloon launches, Satellite, go-kits, emergency communications, SDR, digital modes, DXing, home brewing, and more.

Dayton Hamvention was held last weekend but It's too early to determine the exact attendance. It typically draws about 20,000 - 25,000 amateur radio operators from around the world. Hamvention has thousands of vendor booths inside and flea market spaces outside Hara Arena in Dayton.

This week’s Amateur Radio Roundtable guest is ​Bill Cahill, AB8BC, from Hurst, TX who will share pictures and discuss his perspective of Dayton Hamvention. W5KUB will share highlights and show special interviews from the event.
